Our Journey
2019
The idea was born as a Ph.D. research proposal.
A vehicle control mechanism that focuses on safety, comfort, and traffic efficiency for longitudinal vehicle movement.
2020
The research received funding from the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) through the Postgraduate Scholarships – Doctoral (PGS D) program.
July 2023
Funded by Invest WindsorEssex as a prototype pipeline project & became a client of WEtech Alliance.
Sept. 2023
Aadhya Navik Inc. was incorporated.
Nov. 2023
Selected for a 16-week accelerator program in RBC Founders Program by EPICentre.
Dec. 2023
Aadhya Navik Inc. was among the top 100 companies selected to compete from a pool of up to 1500 invited start-up companies and applications at the 2024 Global Automobility & Mobility Innovation Challenge (GAMIC) quarter-finals.
Jan. 2024
Selected as a client of Intellectual Property Ontario (IPON), becoming eligible for funding upto $100,000 towards IP service costs. Also, received funding to conduct landscape report.
Software Enhancements in Progress
Platooning algorithm
An algorithm to determine the optimal timing and duration for platoon formation according to the traffic conditions, along with another algorithm to manage car-following within the platoon, ensuring passenger safety and comfort throughout.
Comfortable lane-change algorithm
This can ensure the desired comfortable deceleration and jerk during lateral movement.
Quantify comfort and motion sickness thresholds
Study to quantify comfort and motion sickness thresholds related to acceleration, deceleration, and jerk rate for passengers of different susceptibilities to motion sickness, age, and sex under longitudinal and lateral vehicle movements while completing non-driving related tasks.
Passenger's comfort profile
Utilizing passenger information, algorithms will derive comfort and motion sickness thresholds, refining them with each journey. These personalized threshold profiles can be applied to any vehicle they use, whether it be a taxi or a personal car.
